This is my first attempt posting to my blog so I hope all goes well. This post is about articles I have read on one's passion for their careers. Successful people have at least one of the three types of passion for their job/career, but very successful people have two or all three. It's to have a passion for the work you do, the passion for excellence, or the passion of/for life. What comes easy for some doesn't for others and some skills can be learned to be successful but passion is what drives people to be successful at home and work. Very few people get to be successful without first working jobs that have nothing to do with what they love to do or what makes them happiest but their passion, whatever it is, will keep them moving forward toward their vision of success.
Passion for the work you do will get you through the mundane or dirty tasks that need to be done to reach your vision, passion for excellence ensures you will always give 100%, and passion for life keeps you moving forward until you live and give your children the life you want and want them to have. Having a job that relates to your passion can be a stepping stone to get you to where you want to be. If you are passionate about wildlife try to find a job that somehow relates to wildlife. The more you know about wildlife the closer you will be to a career that you are passionate about. There are some downfalls in having so much passion, like not spending as much time with your family as you would like, not sleeping enough, or a tight budget, but figuring out your passions as early as possible and buckling down the sooner you can become successful.
It all depends on what a particular person views as success. Success in the eyes of one person isn't necessarily success for someone else and we shouldn't compare ourselves with anyone else because we are all different in many ways. Being different is what makes humans so interesting and our capability to go after our dream creates a passion within some of us to flourish in our work/career and/or our home. I think finding the balance and having great discipline are the hardest things to master when looking for or finding our true passions. Each one of us has to decide if we are going to stay on the plateau or continue to climb the mountain. People who stay on the plateau don't have enough passion for the climb up the mountain or are high enough.
